Dear colleagues, attached are instructions for the preparation of papers for CARNEF 2023. If you have additional questions, please contact the Scientific Committee.

All submitted papers are presumed to be previously unpublished, unless explicitly stated.

It is necessary that each author participated sufficiently in the work in order to take responsibility for the content of the work. Participation in the work implies the design or analysis and interpretation of data or both.

Papers are submitted as Microsoft Word documents.

Text

The order of the text should be as follows:

1. Cover page containing:

  • Title of the paper
  • Topic and its ordinal number
  • Information about the author and co-authors
  • The name and other information (address, telephone, fax, email address) of the main author should be underlined.

2. A paper abstract of 250 words in English and Serbian should be on a separate page. The abstract should contain four paragraphs: introduction, patients and methods, results and conclusion.

3.    Keywords: no more than 6 words that characterize the main topics of the paper.

4.    On the new page: introduction, patients and methods, results, discussion, references, tables, legend for pictures and tables. All pages should be numbered. Headlines should be on a separate line.

All statistical methods should be described in detail in the patients and methods section, and all not generally known methods should be fully explained or supported by references.

Tables

Tables should be on separate pages after the list of references. All tables must be numbered and each should have its own short title. The text should contain references to tables that must be simple and the information contained in the tables should not be repeated in the text.

Pictures

Images should be either included in the work or sent as .tif files. Required resolution: 1200 dpi for drawings and 300 dpi for color images. If the image is sent as a .tif file, the file name should contain the image number and its title.

Example: Image_3_Distribution_of_blood_pressure_in_flow_24h.

Whenever possible, the image should fit in the width of one column of text, which is 80 mm.

Abbreviations

Abbreviations should not be used in titles. Authors are advised to avoid excessive use of unsteady abbreviations.

Scientific units of measurement

All scientific units of measurement must be in SI units.

References

References should be numbered in the order in which they appear in the text. At the end of the paper, there should be a complete list of references where all authors are named, unless there are six or more when only the first three authors should be listed. The names of the authors should be followed by the title of the paper, the title of the journal, the year of publication, the number of issues and the number of the first and last pages of the paper.
